Richard B. Lumley

Richard B. Lumley is a litigation attorney whose practice primarily focuses on representing businesses and individuals in commercial, trust and estate, real estate, environmental, and employment disputes. He has in-depth experience representing clients in state and federal court, as well as alternative dispute resolution venues.

Rich attended Northeastern University School of Law, where he was a public interest law scholar. Following law school, Rich was an honors fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., focusing on federal ethics and political activities law. Rich’s legal experience also includes managing a federally funded program at Lutheran Community Services Northwest that assists immigrants in removal proceedings with navigating the complex immigration court system.

• Secured favorable high six-figure global settlement of tangible property tax appeals on behalf of family-owned towing and transportation company.
• Represented corporate fiduciary in successfully resigning and appointing a suitable successor trustee in contested Superior Court proceedings involving an eight-figure family trust share, resulting in court approval of all the trustee’s attorney fees.
• Represented corporate fiduciary in contested Superior Court proceeding to divide seven-figure trust into individual shares, with court approval of all the trustee’s attorney fees.
