It’s hard to imagine a better divorce attorney than Cameron Fleury. In a noncontentious divorce, certain qualities may not be all that important: the willingness to respond quickly and clearly to difficult questions; the ability to explain the complexities of marital law so that the layperson can und...erstand them; and the patience required to go over the same thorny issue of why “the Motion requires a Motion requesting the relief sought” as many times as required. In a noncontentious divorce, both husband and wife readily agree to agree, and they may not need an attorney at all. My divorce was anything but. Cameron knows how to guide the wife in a contentious divorce through the thickets of difficult choices—and I was faced with several of them. What, in short, was the best strategy for dealing with a maddeningly complex and painful situation? Cameron explained, with great patience, the several possible strategies confronting me, and compared their relative values. From the beginning, I told Cameron I’d be grateful if he would answer my many emailed questions with written responses. He had no problem with that. He knew that email lasts forever and that spoken communications are gone with the wind. Through many emails he elaborated on what I needed to know in as much detail as I requested. And this is a man who writes extremely well. (My previous attorney had instructed me not to ask too many questions!) Cameron Fleury is professional in every respect, prompt in his responses to calls and emails, intuitive, intelligent, and when the issue requires it, compassionate.
