Legrand C Jones

Legrand Jones is available to serve clients throughout the southern Puget Sound area. Most of his current practice involves criminal defense in Pierce, Thurston, and Mason Counties. Legrand has considerable experience in; handling a variety of criminal cases, civil/human rights issues, firm management, and team building.

Legrand was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in multiple areas here on the West coast.  He has one younger brother, and currently maintains a residence in the Southern Puget Sound area with his wife and child.

Legrand has worked as a mental health counselor, in retail sales/management, and as a short order cook.

Some of his volunteer activities include; Organizer/Legal Observer/Chapter Coordinator with The National Lawyers Guild,  Disaster Responder with the Tacoma Chapter of The American Red Cross, Chapter Coordinator of the Tacoma Chapter of Amnesty International, and Educator within the McNeil Island Corrections Center.

After graduating law school, he was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association. Prior to co-founding the firm he worked as a public defender with the Pierce County Department of Assigned Counsel, and as a solo-practioner. 

Legrand is involved with numerous, local, national, and international projects to do with social justice and human rights.

He is a voracious reader and is just learning to play the violin. He enjoys traveling, and re-learning the value of life and what it means through the eyes of his nine year old son.
