If you want to be unheard and walked all over with no input on your case, then hire Mr. Ramsdell. If you actually care about yourself and the outcome and want to have a choice in your legal strategy, I recommend another attorney. Mr. Ramsdell ignores and bullies his clients into what he wants to do i...n court with no regard for his clients input. He takes advantage of the mentally ill just for a paycheck with no regard for their health or safety. He ND his assistant are disrespectful to their clients, as well as clients immediate family members. If you are intelligent, he will call you particular and talk down to you and about you in court. This guy is just a whole bad decision and a jail sentence waiting to happen. Very disappointing experience.

I don't want any of the above. He's a Bankruptcy Lawyer. I fired him and got new lawyer. Ramsdell is a horrible lawyer. He defines the word misconduct.

Charles(Chuck) Ramsdell represented me during 2010-2011, as he was chosen to be my public defender. This was my first time being charged with a crime, let alone a felony. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, considering I seldom hear anything good regarding public defenders. After my first co...nsultation with Mr. Ramsdell, it seemed like he genuinely cared about my situation and the outcome -- even though I had never met this man before this in my life. Since then, he proved his sincerity multiple times. He spent many hours researching.. only to find 1-2 similar cases(in the country) which he could reference, he hired a private investigator to take pictures of the "crime scene" (a hallway in my house), and even worked weekends to progress my case! For example, he went to the extent of inviting me to his office on a Sunday afternoon to coach me on how to respond to the prosecutor's questions, which was a huge relief; I have debilitating social anxiety. When we made it to my Three Six hearing to determine if the confiscated evidence had been legally obtained, the judge started out by saying that the 10 page brief he(Ramsdell) wrote was some of the best work she had seen in her entire career! Charles did such a great job, that at the end of the hearing, the judge said that my testimony mattered none -- his paperwork stood on its own. She ruled that the the evidence obtained was not acquired legally, and the cop had been "fishing" for evidence to use against me. At this point the evidence would not be admissible in court, so the prosecutor dropped the charges. I was no longer at risk of being convicted of a felony! As we were getting ready to leave the courtroom, Charles Ramsdell informed the prosecutor that he was pressing charges against the officer: Search Without a Warrant, a gross misdemeanor. The prosecutor proceeded to flee the courtroom cursing on his way out, which I must admit was pretty satisfying. Charles Ramsdell defended me when I had no means to defend myself. For that, I am forever in his debt. Thanks again, Chuck! I will always recommend you to anybody who needs a good lawyer to stand up for them.
