Ingrid Larson-Alexander, a native of Rhode Island, received her legal degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. She then moved to Seattle, Washington, where she received her Washington State legal license in 2001. She served as a Captain in the JAG Corps of the US Air Force from 2002-2005, stationed at Fairchild AFB and Davis-Monthan AFM, respectively. She served in the positions of base claims officer, medical-legal advisor, and civil law officer. She was the legal advisor on family and spousal abuses cases, as well as the newly created Victim-Witnesses assistance program liaison. She also prepared estate plans for active duty military personnel, retired military members, and their families, and consulted on family, consumer and other civil law issues.
Following an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 2005, Ingrid and her family returned to Port Angeles. Upon learning that there was a great need for more elder law attorneys on the Olympic Peninsula, she opened her own elder law practice in 2005, Larson-Alexander Law, LLC, with a focus on estate planning, probate, guardianship, and consumer protection. She became a certified professional guardian in July, 2008.
Ingrid also works as a contract attorney for Olympic Area Agency on Aging’s Senior Information & Assistance free Legal Clinic for Clallam, Jefferson, Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. She is a member of the Washington Bar Association Elder Law division, the American Bar Association Elder Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust divisions and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program. Locally, she is an active member of the North Olympic Chapter of the Veterans for Peace, the Disabled American Veterans, the Clallam County Homelessness Task Force Commission, and the Board of Directors for the CARE (Community Advocates of Rural Elders) Partnership.
