I came to Amanda's law firm with an extremely difficult case - I was really being treated unfairly by the court and the GAL. I wish I could say she was able to turn my case around, and win back my ability to see my kids in reasonable fashion. She did not. However, I don't know that it was possible. K...itsap County is not, in my experience, a place of fairness and justice. What she and her firm DID do was help defend me and prevent my case getting any worse. She did this while effectively controlling her costs, and I ended up getting most of my retainer back. I've hired 6 attorneys so far, and she's the only one who didn't burn through every cent they could.... This is a unique quality that demonstrates her focus on actually doing right by her clients. Now that I have moved my case to a jurisdiction where I might actually have a shot of being listened to, my main regret is I can't still be represented by her. It is impossible to find this kind of representation, someone who sees you as a person to be helped and not as prey to be fed upon.

I retained Amanda had a rather simple child support modification hearing. I spent several hours with her and her staff which I was billed for. When it went to court none of the paperwork was filled by her or her office. I had also informed her multiple times that I knew the opposing side was lying ab...out significant amounts of income. She failed to request discovery information which would have provided the information I had told her about multiple times. She failed to bring up to the courts as well that the opposing side owed several thousands of dollars in arrears in a different states. It took her office 6+ months to finish filing the court paperwork and it to be finalized. Upon finally finishing it, I deployed with the military shortly after. While deployed Amanda and her office refused to answer any emails from one of her "clients" as the case escalated and become even more hostile because of the abuse and manipulation of the opposing side. It wasn't until I returned from deployment and walked into her office that she finally had to deal with "her client" again. Short version, is this attorney had 0 clue what she is doing. It has been 5 years and this still drags out in WA courts because of this attorney's ignorance and negligence. If you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to waste, hire this attorney. If you want an attorney who knows what they are doing and will give you sound legal advice on your best behalf, find some other attorney. As this one will only tell you "my heart goes out to you" when you need a real attorney.
