When I first met Mr. Powers it was from the other side, during his years as a prosecutor for Skagit County, but none the less a very fair and impressive young professional. Years later, when I saw that He had now become an Criminal Defense attorney, I made the calculation that because this man was a ...prosecutor before and was now working for the defense of individuals, I figured who better to represent me than someone whom was familiar with the ins and outs, and procedures of the courts than Jason Powers. We'll let me just say that my calculations were correct, this man was not only able to maneuver through the often tricky court procedures to my advantage, but also put fourth legal procedures and processes that I had never even heard of before to help me? He helped me to close out one case without me even having to be there present in the court room which was very difficult. But, besides having the confidence of the best defense money can buy, he is also an incredibly humble human being, always approachable, always willing to hear what I had to say and act on it, in my best interests. How I wish I had had him as my attorney years ago! I would recommend this good and competent attorney to any person that wants someone who will not only provide the best defense possible, but also an attorney that listens to what you have to say, simply above and beyond what I had expected from an attorney of Mr. Powers caliber.

If you're case is in Skagit County you're better off hiring an attorney from another county. In my opinion and from my experience they are afraid to challenge the prosecution or judges. You are told things will be one way then when you're in front of the judge you're blindsided. Jason won't challeng...e it. Tags are hung on you which may not apply these are also NOT questioned.

I was looking for a lawyer one evening a few months ago after I found out I was the victim of a completely bogus charge.
