Investigations revealed she took the prescription drugs away from a drug-abusing friend she visited while travelling. The friend was willing to testify on client's behalf. We entered a 2-year Deferred Prosecution agreement. Prosecutor dismissed after client obtained a state-certified drug evaluation, followed the treatment recommendations and performed 240 hours of community service. The dismissal saved client's pharmaceutical license from being revoked.
