I am so glad I found Laurie. I had tried to speak with other attorney's prior to finding Laurie and none had given me the time of day like Laurie did. She took my call the first time I called to see if she could take on my case. My case was very complicated and involved other court cases outside of m...y family law case. I received a letter in the mail requiring a family court appearance in Washington State, I can remember being in a full panic when I received the letter because I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. When I did a quick search for attorneys in Everett, WA I came across Laurie Robertson. I spoke wi...th Laurie about the situation I was going through and informed her of the summons I received from the family court in Everett. This was the first step in a 2 year process that involved an extremely complicated custody case involving two states 3,000 miles apart. During this process Laurie showed extreme dedication and emotional support when it was needed. Laurie was able to calm me down several time through these past two years and to focus on the big picture. This was extremely difficult to handle at times, but with her confidence and support I was able to understand that there was more to this case then what is happening “right now”. During the process Laurie continued to get me more and more visitation with my son, it was extremely costly to bring him across the country, but the visitation became 14 days per month until we finally went to trial. After many trials, tribulations, guardian investigations, psychological evaluations, flights to and from Washington, we finally went to trial. I can’t stress enough how strongly I believe in Laurie and how well she knows the law. She has been doing this for a VERY long time, and if you could have heard how she performed in the court room you could be nothing less than amazed. In the end, my son was placed in my care and I could not be any happier with the results. Every struggle and expense throughout the process was worth it. Laurie is an incredible divorce lawyer! She did an amazing job with my divorce, and it was a real dog fight the whole way. She is a true fighter. And you can tell that she really cares about her family law clients and the results that she achieves for them. My ex was a vindictive nightmare who ...cared more about hurting me than her own children. Laurie tireless fought on my behalf. And, when my ex refused to even be remotely reasonable at trial, we just pushed forward to trial. And, Laurie did an absolutely Amazing job at trial. I felt like we were way better prepared and fought smarter at every turn. The end result? I basically got everything that was really important and to me at trial. I’m sure she’s a good family attorney if she actually has time for your case, but she completely screwed me. It took over three weeks to even get a phone consultation, meaning I had to file my divorce response on my own. Then she charged me $350 for an hour on the phone, and agreed to take my case. T...hen a week later she told me she had a trial coming up and couldn’t take my case after all, meaning I had to start my attorney search all over.
