My injured clients and their families pay a steep personal price when other people or institutions choose, for whatever reason, to do things that put other people in harms way. I believe holding wrongdoers accountable for their choices and their actions is the best way to bringing justice to the injured, killed or abused. Justice for my clients, and people like them, means closure; it means making sure they are fully and fairly compensation for what was taken and doing something to prevent the same thing from happening to someone else.
It is our right to expect our fellow drivers to follow the rules of the road. We can rightfully expect corporations to keep their vehicles, their equipment, and their properties in safe condition. Doctors and hospitals must follow the safety policies and procedures developed over the years to keep us all safe. Nursing homes must hire, train, and supervise enough qualified staff people to care for our most vulnerable citizens. When these expectations are not met and someone gets hurt or killed as a result, justice and fairness require recognition of what happened, restitution for the injured, and those in responsible must make the changes necessary to keep the same thing from happen again.
