Strong Advocate

Shay handled a very complex custody and parenting plan case for me, along with a number of related issues. We worked together for the better part of a year. She was able to coordinate the best possible settlement for me and my children despite the other party’s resistance to participate in the proces...s. Shay was persistent, creative, and always kept my best interest and that of my children at the forefront of every action. She firmly held boundaries for me when I wasn’t strong enough to advocate for myself and/or felt like giving in or giving up. She took on as much as she could herself, translated the legalese, and guided me step-by-step on the things that I had to do myself. The case turned out to be far more complex & frustrating than any of us anticipated, but she stuck it out and got us to the finish line without having to go to trial. She made sure that I had everything I needed to move forward as we wrapped things up. In addition, she has been a great resource in the aftermath. She heard about an issue that popped up and checked in with me to offer her assistance. And I recently had a question for her that required a bit of research. She took the time to get me the information that I was requesting and answer follow-up questions. I recommend Shay to anyone that needs a strong advocate to help navigate the complexities of the family court system. Wishing you the best possible outcome for the highest & greatest good.

No stress!

Shay was an absolute godsend for our family. She was recommended to us by supervised visitation organization. I did quite a bit of calling around to fam law attorneys- so I spoke to many law offices during my search. She called me back herself (not an assistant) and during our phone consultation she ...took the time, was patient with me & answered all of my questions. (Some don't- trust me! ) I knew right away she was going to be great. She took the stress out of the entire situation for us. She was always quick to respond to emails, she did what she said she was going to do, she did things in a timely manner & she was sure to check with us on important details, exploring every option with us, before making any decisions. In the end, the outcome was better than we thought possible. We couldn't be happier with our choice and I would definitely use her again. I'd recommend Shay in a heartbeat to any friend of mine looking for a family law attorney.

Wonderful caring attorney.

I contacted Shay in 2018 regarding a subpoena I received from the mother of my child and quickly adapted to the situation. After a few days before the deadline of responding, she had everything ready. We’ve gotten a parenting plan after everything before going into court, so I appreciate her not tryi...ng to get more money out of her clients. After a year, another issue arises regarding the parenting plan and accusations, and although we had to go to court, she had everything on file prior to fight against. I appreciate Shay for her quick response and dealing with the issues in a timely manner.

Parenting Plan

I was referred to Shay in 2019 by one of her clients. From our very first conversation to the conclusion of my case I experienced the Best service from Shay. She's very kind. She makes it clear that she cares about your wants/needs. She is also very straight forward and realistic about family court ...outcomes and prepares you for what could be uncomfortable results. I am so glad I had her by my side during my parenting plan process. Shay is the first attorney I've ever worked with or needed. I am very happy with her service and the outcome of my case. She is a beast in the courtroom and takes her clients and cases very seriously! I would refer her to anyone who is seeking legal representation centered around her practice.

I would highly recommend Shay Sto...ry Law to anyone needing assistance with a divorce or family law issue. I can't thank you enough Shay.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I worked with Ms. Story on a complicated family law matter. As opposing counsel she was a pleasure to work with. She pushed hard for her client, as I did for mine. In the end the case settled in mediation. It was a pleasure working with her across the table and I have referred clients with difficult issues since."
