Capable- Ethical- Caring

I had wanted to write this review long before my trial. Now, months after my seemingly endless divorce finally ended, I am putting my gratitude into words. If you are reading this because you need a divorce attorney, I am sorry for what you and your family are going through. I have been there. If ...you can resolve things amicably, make every reasonable effort to do so. But if you need representation to protect yourself and your loved ones, Cat and Kirstyn are among the best you will find. My divorce took more than four years from filing to the end of trial, plus another five months to get the final documents signed. During the first year and a half, I worked with two other legal teams—four attorneys, including experienced, well-established “Super Lawyers.” I also interviewed more than a dozen attorneys before finding Cat and Kirstyn. I have never regretted that choice. By our first meeting, I had learned far more than I wanted to know about divorce law and interviewing attorneys. Too often, I had heard the same rehearsed pitches. Cat and Kirstyn were sharp, efficient, and prepared. They had reviewed my documents and immediately focused on important details others had overlooked. Several later became central to our success at trial. Cat is the most analytical, organized, and hardworking attorney I have worked with. She reads extensively and cares deeply about the law, justice, and her clients. She and Kirstyn take the merits of their cases seriously and are willing to take on difficult fights. When I found them, I had a highly unfavorable parenting evaluator’s report. My previous attorney, a “Super Lawyer,” had told me to give up. I felt I was being moved through an assembly line, with little willingness to do the difficult work of challenging the report. Cat and Kirstyn were willing to take on that challenge. Cat’s care for her clients showed in the everyday work, too. She went through draft after draft with me until I was satisfied for literally every motion. Late at night, even while on a flight, Cat consistently made time for my case. She clearly explained her analysis and plans. I remember occasions when Cat and I agreed but Kirstyn disagreed; they would debate the issue at length, testing their reasoning and working through the details. Their willingness to invest that much thought and effort meant a great deal to me. One example of Cat’s dedication will always stay with me. Repeated requests by the opposing party to postpone trial helped drag the case out for years. During one dispute, Cat stated in a court declaration that she was willing to cancel an international family trip she had already booked, so her availability could not be used to justify another lengthy postponement when a brief one would suffice. I never expected that level of personal commitment from an attorney. After numerous motion hearings together, trial was still on another level. I was deeply impressed by—and proud of—the way Cat and Kirstyn presented our case. Their preparation, courtroom experience, and command of the details showed throughout. Presenting a case at trial is an art, and they are exceptionally good at it. The court rejected the parenting evaluator’s report, granted the 50–50 parenting plan we requested, adopted our proposed division of assets, and awarded attorney’s fees based on the opposing party’s intransigence. I was fortunate to have Cat and Kirstyn by my side, and I remain deeply grateful. They are ethical, caring people and exceptional attorneys. I trust them completely and recommend them wholeheartedly.
