Alex Rissi focuses her practice on advising nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations as well as corporations engaging in cause marketing strategies. Ms. Rissi counsels nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations on matters ranging from formation, governance, tax compliance, and business ventures. Ms. Rissi guides potential founders through the start-up process and advises donors with respect to major gifts. Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Alex attended Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts where she earned a B.A. in Government. She earned her J.D./MBA from Seattle University, receiving CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Individual Income Taxation, Corporate Tax, and Taxation of Partnerships and LLCs and graduating magna cum laude from law school.
