Ryan Crawford Thomas

Ryan became an attorney to help people and organizations achieve their goals and to deal with the legal problems they encounter.

During law school, Ryan gained practical skills while seeking justice for those on the margins. He advocated for criminal defendants as an intern with the Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Washington, and sought to overturn wrongful convictions as a clinic student with the Innocence Project Northwest.  Ryan sharpened his analytical and writing skills as an extern for Justice Charles K. Wiggins of the Washington Supreme Court and as the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Washington Law Review. He also served as a Spanish interpreter for the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project, and helped local youth as the President of Street Youth Legal Advocates of Washington.

Before law school Ryan managed a small business and volunteered with various nonprofit organizations, meeting needs locally and globally.  He travelled and volunteered extensively through Spain and Latin America, and learned to speak Spanish.

Ryan often flees the city to find thinner air—he loves exploring the mountains by foot and ski, especially with his wife, Alysson. His infatuation with two wheeled transportation is rivalled only by his love for coffee and literature.
