Biography
A former prosecutor, Amanda has experience handling all aspects of the criminal trial process. In her career she has worked on criminal cases involving a variety of criminal charges including: DUI and other traffic offenses, assault, theft, robbery, burglary, fraud, and obstruction, among other things. During this work she has successfully handled pre-trial negotiations, jury trials, and appeals.
Raised in rural Nevada, Amanda made the move to Seattle after graduating with distinction from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.A. in Speech Communication. She received her juris doctorate from Seattle University School of Law and didn't hesitate to plant her roots permanently in Washington after graduation.
In 2011 she founded Northwest Defense Team, PLLC, with Karen Judy. The two bring a team approach to criminal defense, ensuring clients always have multiple eyes and legal minds working on their case.
In addition to her legal practice, Amanda works as an adjunct professor at ITT Technical Institute teaching college level courses on a variety of legal subjects.
