Wonderful attorney

Hello! Just wanted to say Kimberly set the bar high for my standards. She’s was so supportive and helpful with a restraing order that should have never happens against my own child; as you could imagine I was very emotional going through a traumatic experience. Not only was she always there(I mean I ...could reach her in seconds via phone, email, etc) but she stepped up and did the best job Anyone could ask for. She’s is very reasonable as her retainer fee, she even offered to work with me and give me a little time to get the funds together while she continued to rock it! I wish I could hire her for any and everything but I live in Oregon so if I ever move to Seattle again, she’s the one I’d hire.

Gross incompetence and verbal abuse from a self-proclaimed domestic violence "specialist"

I retained Kimberly Loges to represent me in a highly sensitive family law protection order case, and her handling of my matter resulted in a severely damaged legal outcome. What makes this experience particularly egregious is the profound irony of her marketing: Ms. Loges explicitly advertises herse...lf as an expert specialized in handling domestic violence cases. Unfortunately, when a real victim needed competent advocacy, her representation did the exact opposite. During our very first call, she agreed to take the case and feigned a deep familiarity with the psychological effects of abuse, specifically gaslighting. Yet, her subsequent actions showed she does not know the first thing about protecting a client in a domestic abuse case. Despite claiming to be an "expert," she showed an absolute lack of understanding regarding how abusers routinely weaponize the legal system. She completely failed to recognize how an abuser will maliciously use the defense mechanisms and natural reactions of their victim—often known as reactive abuse—to manufacture a distorted case that focused on fabricating a pattern of abuse by the actual victim of abuse with no evidence, false witnesses recruited to submit declarations for the abuser's case, and a distortion at the end of the abusive relationship on the victim's isolated reaction at the end of an abusive relationship. Her failures went far beyond poor strategy—she demonstrated a complete inexperience and a fundamental misinterpretation of Washington State law entirely. She actively advised me that none of the evidence I proposed and worked to provide her mattered if it occurred during the relationship. This is legally incorrect by any means for Washington's protection order laws, where past abuse and patterns of coercive control during a relationship are completely pivotal to the case. She even made glaring memory errors regarding the most basic mechanics of protection orders, forgetting and confusing the fundamental state rules of who had to serve whom and how. Her management of my case was chaotic and deeply unprofessional. She constantly claimed she was too busy to work with me but encouraged me to schedule calendar appointments. Yet, she never actually called me during those scheduled phone or video appointments. She did zero ongoing preparation, only working on the case on the actual day of the court deadline after I texted her out of absolute desperation and panic. Because she barely submitted the baseline required paperwork on time, she left no room to build a real defense. At a time when I was fresh out of a verbally, emotionally, and psychologically abusive relationship and experiencing panic attacks and severe CPTSD trauma, Ms. Loges subjected me to further abuse. She routinely resorted to yelling at me, and she even used swear words out of sheer frustration whenever I asked basic questions about my own case. She became so prone to explosive anger if I tried to contact her that I became terrified to ever bother her. To be verbally abused by my own lawyer immediately after escaping an abuser was a profound betrayal. My own lawyer abused me. Because of her misinterpretation of the law and her utter unreliability, she completely failed to submit key evidence, declarations, and medical documentation on my end to the court. Furthermore, she failed to ask the court for a crucial realignment of the parties, which would have properly exposed the true dynamic of abuse and identified the primary aggressor. Her profound incompetence allowed my abuser to weaponize the system against me, leaving the court with a completely one-sided, distorted record. If you do not want an attorney who abandons their promises, skips scheduled meetings, misinterprets baseline state laws, and verbally abuses/swears and intimidates you while you are actively traumatized, absolutely do not hire her.
