I met Tanja for a consultation. And guess what, it wasn't helpful at all. Tanja had an attitude that made me think she didn't wanna talk much and wanted to wrap up the consultation as soon as possible. I asked her a few questions and did not get any answers. She was beating around the bush and didn't give a straight forward answer. She boasted about her successful law firm and her familiarity with the court and the judge. However she didn't give me anything concrete that would make me hire her. I had the feeling she was kind of forceful in getting me to sign the contract with her. The other attorneys who I got consultations from were all very thoughtful and answered all my questions in detail which made me get a good idea on how their approach of dealing with my case will be like. But in case of Tanja, she kept evading my questions and didn't give me any idea of how she will approach the case. I felt like she lacked professionalism and focus on her job as an attorney.

We hired Ms. Vance for an immigration case as well. Just like the other reviews said, there was lack of communication and we'd have to send multiple follow-ups to receive a respond, and sometimes no respond. Without going into all the details because it's not worth my time but trust the reviews! Her fees aren't cheap so you'd get your money worth and hire an attorney who is professional and genuinely care about your case.

Tanja was hired after I had been detained by immigration. She was a peer of my criminal attorney and I took his word that she would be suitable to represent me. While I felt she was pricey ($2000 initial fee, $6500 flat fee and a la carte for anything "extra" like bond hearings), I was assured that she had never lost a case and was well respected. In return of payment, Tanja was in charge of my immigration case and all it required: court appearances, bond hearings, filling out and submitting paperwork.
My case was complicated by additional pending criminal charges that had to be resolved prior to any finalization of immigration issues. Tanja also had to work in tandem with my criminal attorney to make sure the outcome didn't affect my case. From the start I had issues communicating with Tanja. She favors emails as a sole means of communication and could take a week or more to return an email. She also procrastinated in turning in paperwork and forms, which caused multiple judges to chastise and question her motives. Because of complications I ended up having three bond hearings and was charged $1500 each time. This is unusual when a flat fee is paid. Tanja knew my case would be time-consuming and it has stretched out for 3 years. I have struggled to deal with her unprofessional and felt I had to walk on eggshells with what I could say to her because if she felt offended, she had a way of making you feel like you work for her. When my criminal charges were resolved, the judge at my next immigration court date told her the case could likely be dismissed if she provided documents proving my criminal cases finalized and wouldn't affect adjustment ability. At the next court case she still hadn't got all the files needed and blamed it on myself and my wife for not getting them to her. My wife had tried to get as many as she could but had difficulty locating some police reports and older files ( Tanja said they needed to be certified copies, which is expensive). We repeatedly asked the criminal attorney to send her my file. The judge at my next court date was angry that we didn't have the file and ordered me to return in a year! Tanja must've gotten the files herself and filed a motion because my case was finally dismissed 6 months later. However she only emailed me and I didn't know for months the good news. Then she was angry I hadn't replied right away. She emailed me that she needed my balance ($600) paid and then would proceed with rest of paperwork to get my green card. This is when things became weird: she took weeks to reply and refused to return calls. She stated it wasn't necessary for us to meet in person or speak on phone. Email was enough and she would charge me $250 an hour to meet. She claimed to have done work for "free" and gone above and beyond what she was paid. On top of that she claimed to be completing my paperwork out of kindness, because it wasn't included in what we paid for. This completely contradicted what she had told us. She had started my i-485 years ago and already submitted most of its components. She finally stopped responding entirely after refusing to give me an appointment to go pay her balance and go over what other documents she needed. I contacted the bar to help me contact her. She actually told the bar association that she had finished her responsibilities to me, everything was done and we still owed her money. I have many emails sent to her asking for an appointment to come pay her. She never told me she was withdrawing, and she certainly wasn't done completing my paperwork. We were in midst of hiring a new attorney to take over this case anyways, but Tanjas blatant lying to the bar shocked me. I have emails from her stating documents and things she needed to complete my paperwork with. Tanja was paid to complete a job and she didn't. Not only that she was unprofessional, difficult to reach, and vindictive in her actions when she perceived me as "unappreciative," but she exaggerated her

I endorse this lawyer. Tanja is not happy with a result unless she is "performing a miracle" for a client. An just ok deal is not ok with her, and she will keep pushing until she gets the result she wants, which she always does.
