Nicole M. Chicoine

Nicole Chicoine Mooney joined the law firm of Chicoine & Hallett, P.S. in 1999. Ms. Chicoine Mooney graduated cum laude from the University of Oregon in 1994, and received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law, in 1999.  She has also received extensive mediation training.

Since being admitted to the Washington State Bar, Ms. Chicoine Mooney has focused her practice in the areas of federal and state tax matters, both criminal and civil, white-collar criminal defense, business, civil litigation, and mediation and arbitration.  She also has experience in family law and dependency law, including offering pro bono services to the King County Superior Court CASA Program and the King County Bar Association Family Law Mentor Program. Ms. Chicoine Mooney is also an Adjunct Professor for the University of Washington School of Law.

Ms. Chicoine Mooney is admitted to practice before the Courts of Washington State, the United States District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.  Ms. Chicoine Mooney is a member of the American Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution and Taxation Sections, the Washington State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution, Taxation, and Family Law Sections, and the King County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law Sections.

Ms. Chicoine Mooney was recently recognized as a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
