Mr. Kowren and his associates was retained by me. After having several questions that went unanswered, I looked up the address sent in e-mail by his supportive staff. 720 Seneca St. Ste 107 #718 Seattle WA 98101, is the address of a luxury apartment complex. When questioned about this discrepancy,... I was given the answer, "That office is not staffed as we all work remotely. " No formally recognized office made my alarm bells ring. Unanswered questions to whether 38 CFR 3.327 and Rule in M21-1, Part IV, Subpart ii, Chapter 1, Section A: (b) (2) No periodic future examinations will be requested. In service-connected cases, no periodic reexamination will be scheduled: (i) When the disability is established as static; (ii) When the findings and symptoms are shown by examinations scheduled in paragraph (b)(2)(i) of this section or other examinations and hospital reports to have persisted without material improvement for a period of 5 years or more; (iii) Where the disability from disease is permanent in character and of such nature that there is no likelihood of improvement; (iv) In cases of veterans over 55 years of age, except under unusual circumstances; (v) When the rating is a prescribed scheduled minimum rating; or (vi) Where a combined disability evaluation would not be affected if the future examination should result in reduced evaluation for one or more conditions. Or The VA does not schedule review examinations for all types of service connected VA disabilities. According to 38 C.F.R. § 3.3237(b)(2), no reexamination or review examination will be scheduled if the condition has persisted without material change for 5 or more years A veteran is over 55 years of age. The disability is static (meaning it doesn’t change). A combined disability evaluation would not be changed even if a reexamination resulted in the reduction of one or more disabilities. Sad to say, but these questions require answers that were NEVER provided.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
