Biography
Dave Swartling joined what became Mills Meyers Swartling in 1992, and since then he has litigated in state and federal court significant cases involving product liability, municipal and commercial law, professional negligence, and aviation. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he has received awards from the Washington State Bar Association and the American Bar Association for his long-time efforts in teaching litigation and improving the system of justice in Washington. In 2007, Dave was elected as Secretary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, a full-time position that resulted in his relocation to the denomination’s headquarters office in Chicago. As of January 2014, Dave has returned to his law practice as Counsel to Mills Meyers Swartling.
