Director of Legal and Corporate Risk Management

My company is an international outsourcing telecommunications corporation that does not have an in-house attorney. I work with scores of attorneys on various matters across the US, but I was very fortunate to early find Dan Stevenson, a first rate business attorney with specialties in I.T., internet..., and telecommunications, who has functioned as an outside counsel for us since 2002 for a wide variety of complex national and international business issues. Dan quickly became "first call" for us when we needed legal advice in our business. The way Dan's personality is organized is a best case scenario for a client: He is a tough negotiator who has a knack for resolving disputes between opposing national and international parties, but he is very easy for the client to work with. Dan analyzes contract issues faster than anyone with whom I have ever worked. Because Dan describes the legal aspects in plain English, my company's staff is quickly able to grasp what's happening and what needs to be done. Over the years Dan's worked on many, many complicated contract issues for us that required a smart strategy in order for us to work through and harmonize the problem. Dan has supplied many successful strategies for my company's legal challenges that worked out to my company's best interests. Dan's saved my company a lot of money over the years and in the process made my company look very good. I like smart attorneys who are also highly responsive and fast at what they do. Fast translates into lower legal bills. I would recommend Dan Stevenson unreservedly for any corporation who has a busy, highly complex contract environment coupled with any kind of an I.T. interface with its business. Dan is the type of attorney whom you can count on to help you take your business to the next level and then help support you in keepng it there.

Relationship: Supervised lawyer

"In addition to being one of the top licensing lawyers in Seattle, Dan is one of the few attorneys with the experience to handle complex outsourcing transactions. Outsourcing transactions are becoming more common as companies focus on their core competencies and hire third parties to handle non-core, yet critical business functions. Dan has the skill to represent both customers and vendors in these transactions to ensure that expectations for outsourced services are met. These are business-critical transactions, and Dan is the lawyer to turn to for legal advice."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
