Thomas Hemphill De Buys

I was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1948. I obtained an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 1970. From 1971 to 1974, I served on active duty as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. I attended and obtained a law degree from the University of Alabama in 1977. During law school, I was a member of the United States Reserve Officers Military Pentathlon Team and represented the United States in Norway (1974), Greece (1975), and Denmark (1976). Later in my career, I attended and graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College in 1996. For the last 29 years, I have represented clients in the areas of personal injury law, criminal law, and general civil litigation. This has involved counseling clients regarding their claims and cases, preparing for and trying cases in courts of law and in arbitration hearings throughout the State of Washington, and working to achieve fair and just settlements on behalf of each of his clients.

My purpose in the practice of law is to help people through the legal process and provide excellent legal representation in their cases. It’s not just about business, it’s about people.

My office has the capacity to comunicate with deaf  and hard of hearing clients via American Sign Language.
