From the beginning I felt incredibly lucky to have James Stensel representing me. Because of the initial consu...ltation, even before I hired him, I was able to make sure I did not make any critical errors early in the process. Not once did I feel like I was led into something I didn't understand or agree to. When I had questions, and I had plenty of them, he was incredibly responsive, very often responding that same day. Throughout the process he treated my money like his own, answering questions thoroughly but succinctly. Early on he spent the time to learn what really mattered to me, and helped me see where we would need to spend the most time, where we would need to prepare, and what to let go so that we could focus on the things that mattered. Furthermore, he anticipated the opposing counsel's claims, and was prepared with responses. I felt, at all times, that was truly working with a professional. Beyond all the things above, James had the foresight to think about the costs in a protracted legal battle, the changing tax laws, and look for possible points of contention that might show up later. He never relented on any detail. He and his team went the extra mile to resolve issues expediently when time was crucial. In short, although the opposing counsel was expensive and aggressive, I was confident I was in good hands.
