This review is long overdue, but I still needed to express my gratitude. Dave was an amazing attorney when I was in a contract to purchase a house. One of the contingencies wasn't followed through by the seller/agent, and I wanted to get out. The seller wanted to keep my earnest money, and the agent ...(dual agent so supposedly represented both the seller and buyer, but was heavily representing the seller) told me adamantly that the earnest money would be forfeited if I got out of the contract. The wording in the contract was a bit ambiguous and we both stood our ground. The minute I contacted Dave, I knew that I did the right thing. In a matter of days he got me out of the contract with all my earnest money back. He was very reassuring from start to finish, the process was swift, and I was very happy with the outcome. I hired Dave to represent my wife and I during a single-family home remodel that had gone off the rails. Initially, we were seeking expert counsel to help us navigate terminating our contract with a delinquent contractor. With Dave's help, we successfully ended this contract, developed a case again...st the contractor, filed suit and settled out of court. Dave and his team listened to our concerns and gathered meticulous details. He was readily available via phone and email throughout the duration of our representation. Although his fees are higher than some of the other Lawyers I initially sought out, his counsel was worth every penny. Dave was fair, transparent and detailed in his billing. His website uses good software, allowing us to upload documents and photos, saving us time and money. We were able to provide all relevant information, securely over the internet and only met with Dave on our site, never in his office, although the option was available to us had we wanted that. Dave helped us get our project back on track. After a year of stressing out over the delinquent contractor, we began to sleep easier, knowing Dave and his team were fighting for us. We are now back in our house and moving on with our lives. I honestly don't think we'd be where we are now (physically, financially, emotionally) without Dave and his team.

We hired Dave after talking to a handful of very highly rated attorneys. Dave is calm, to the point and a take charge kind of guy. After wrangling with the builder myself for over a year and a half, we realized we were only hearing non-truths & empty promises. In less than a month after hiring Dave, ...we had a signed agreement with the builder. We had to take payments from the builder, but we did get the agreed upon amount, a little over half of our out of pocket expenses, but our nightmare is over. I wish we would have found/hired Dave sooner! My best advise is; VET THE BUILDER FIRST and avoid the nightmare. But if you do find yourself in a construction defect situation, by all means, call Dave von Beck.

Dave von Beck was recommended to us by the president of Construction Dispute Resolution in Seattle as a particularly smart and aggressive attorney. We found this to be accurate. This was the attorney we needed for what we felt was a difficult case. We had experienced the nightmare contractor; issu...es with accounting, multiple damages/defects, claims that work was not within scope and not honoring the promised discount. The contractor placed much effort into sidestepping issues and freely fabricated stories in sworn statements. Nonetheless, Dave and associate Seth Chastain ultimately obtained a signed settlement in which the contractor agreed to the cost required to fix all their damages and complete the project. This statement was instrumental in obtaining a settlement from the contractor’s insurance carriers which indeed covered all costs. The case was successfully resolved without the time and stress of arbitration and trial. We would highly recommend Levy – von Beck & Associates.
