David Collins Clarke

David was our general counsel for 3 years at my last startup. He was outstanding in every way. He provided invaluable guidance each step of the way -- incorporating the company, stock option plan, intros to VCs, business deals, term sheets, financing contracts, negotiation for exits, and acquisit...ion. Startups are a lot of unknowns coming at you constantly, you need someone like David to weather them with confidence. I was amazed at how he kept the company's best interests in mind rather than any specific individual or entity's interests.

David served as counsel for our start up, and it was an entirely positive experience. He's intelligent, experienced, highly connected in the VC community and has excellent operating instincts. We raised several rounds, had some very complex Board maneuverings, and a successful exit, and David was... a rock throughout. I have subsequently recommended him to several other founders who were doing due diligence on representation for their ventures, and I believe they all ended up hiring him after interviewing him.
