Christopher M. Rusing

Chris brings special expertise to his aviation accident practice. Chris is an Airline Transport Pilot rated international commercial airline captain, airline check pilot, and airline simulator instructor with over 8,000 hours of total flight time.

Currently, Chris holds the FAA designation as Line Check Airman and Simulator Check Airman as well as being a simulator instructor. Chris holds Type Ratings in the Airbus A-320 Series and the Canadair Regional Jet. Chris previously held Certified Flight, Instrument, and Multi-engine instructing certificates and accumulated hundreds of hours of “dual-given instruction” as a fixed wing airplane Instructor.

Being a former Base Chief Pilot at his airline, Chris has a thorough understanding of major airline management operations and flight operations procedures in addition to his knowledge of the federal aviation regulations, pilot training, practices, and procedures.

Chris’s law practice focuses exclusively on significant personal injury and wrongful death cases. With over 23 years of experience as a practicing attorney, Chris has represented clients against small and large corporations and their insurance companies, counties and municipalities, and other at-fault parties for their negligence.

Born in Bellingham, Washington, Chris graduated from Western Washington University, and received his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. Chris is admitted to practice law in Washington State and Florida. He is also admitted in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Chris is a resident of Florida, heading up Aviation Law Group’s Florida office, while also spending a significant amount of time handling cases for ALG’s clients on the West Coast of the United States.
