Craig S. Sternberg

Practicing law in Seattle since 1970, my primary focus is in Bankruptcy representing creditors and debtors in Chapters 7, 11 and 13 as well as mediation and litigation.

Over the years, I have litigated matters commercial matters in state, bankruptcy and federal courts as well as arbitrations and mediations under the auspices of the AAA and JAMS.  Recently, I was appointed as a mediator for the Hon. Thomas T. Glover Mediation Program for the Western District of Washington Bankruptcy Courts, and have served as an arbitrator under the Mandatory Aribitration Rules of the King County Superior Courts.

We counsel clients on business matters including incorporations, formation of limited liability companies and partnerships, asset purchases and protection. 

I was the first editor of the Washington State Bar Association's Creditor/Debtor Section Newsletter. Chair of the Mandatory Continuing Education Board, Washington State Bar Association, 2003-2005 and currently a member of the Continuing Litigation Committee of the WSBA. I am a frequent Lecturer for Continuing Legal Education in Washington. Member and Chair, Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Certified Specialist, Business Bankruptcy Law, American Bankruptcy Board of Certification, 1994-2000.

I hold the AV rating (highest by Martindale Hubbell National Attorney Rating Services) and was named on of Seattle Metropolitans Magazine’s Top Lawyers for 2010
