Friedman was woefully unfamiliar with basic requirements of submitting declarations to the court. If declarations exceed a certain page number, family courts require that additional documentation be filed ("mother-may-I" type stuff, in essence). This additional, necessary paperwork was not submitted by Friedman. My case hinged on the courts seeing approximately 50 pages worth of evidence. Becuase of the failure to file the necessary paperwork, the courts only saw about 20 pages. All supporting documentation for my response was, of course, ignored by the courts because this paperwork was not filed.
It was requested of Friedman to attempt to correct this error. This involved traveling to the courts in person and filing some additional "mea culpa but can we still have the councilor look at this stuff, please?" paperwork. Friedman decided to try to bill me for this attempt to correct her mistake, to the tune of something like three hours. Not cheap. Upon pointing out to her that one should perhaps not charge clients to fix mistakes perpetrated solely by the lawyer, she relented and removed these hours from the ongoing bill. No offer was made to reimburse for the billable hours wasted on creating and processing the rejected documentation, of course.
My case was poorly handled and at considerable cost. I would strongly suggest that anyone contemplating giving this attorney any money to *reconsider*, and find someone more familiar with the basics and more capable of recognizing their own failures.

Ms. Friedman was my lawyer through a divorce and child custody matter. She exceeded my expectations, beyond trustworthy, always willing to explain and clarify questions regardless what the question may be. As a majority of people are unfamiliar with the legal processes involved specific matters a responsive knowledgeable attorney is a must; Ms. Friedman will not disappoint! She always kept me well informed of everything and VERY prompt in getting back to you.
I have used Ms. Friedman's legal services for a number of things as the "title" mentions. Ms. Friedman is a well rounded lawyer and expert in many fields. She has handled a divorce, child custody matter for me; as well as, car accident settlement, and expungement/sealing records. I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with any of my interactions.
Her fee's and retainer are standard and often less than other law firms (I have talked to other lawyers before I discovered Ms. Friedman covered multiple fields of law; whereas, some lawyers will only do say DUI Ms. Friedman covers many different situations).
I would not pass up Ms. Friedman if you are in need of legal services. She will be my lawyer as long as she is practicing law, no question. You will not be disappointed if you retain Ms. Friedman!

Robyn handled two legal issues I had concurrently. The combination made the negotiation and mediation of my separation complex. The separation was meretricious, rather than a divorce, with more neboulous, judicial rather than legislative law around it. She handled this with expertise, tact and direction, always checking with me about my goals, yet keeping me realistic. She managed the numerous calls and letters graciously, while protecting my interests with a direct and honest presence. Robyn would emphasize the positives of my actions to smooth over bumps on the road. Her steady, persistent attitude during mediation earned me a much better settlement than either one of us expected.
I would recomment Robyn in a heart beat!!
Elizabeth Powell, Landlord or tenant Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
I've known Robyn since 1996, and she never fails to amaze me with her keen insights into courts and clients, and her unflagging willingness to do the best she possibly can for her clients. If you have a landlord-tenant issue, I can refer with complete confidence.
