During the time I practice law, I was raising a family and managed two other independent businesses at the same time, a business brokerage business and an escrow business. My primary legal practice now focuses on business formation, advising business on choice of entity and regulatory compliance, real estate transactions, business closings, and escrow. My clients range from single individuals, small business, and companies of all size. While I have an active transactional practice, my practice also heavily emphasizes the importance of human connection. I first make sure to understand what my client's needs are before I undertake any legal work and I always strive to ensure that not only their legal objectives are met, but also their personal objecgtives are met as well. I have a rule to always promptly return my client's calls, if not immediately, then by the next business day at the most.
While I am often called to reivew and prepare documents, negotiation contractual terms and conditions, and the transference of titles, I am also often called upon by clients who are unsure of how real estate laws and regulations could affect their business when buying or selling real estate. I help them with title issues, environmental, and insurance issues. I also review and prepare appraisals, inspections, leases, and purchase agreements. I draft documents such as financial and rental agreements, leases, and deeds for conveyance transactions. A significant part of my practice also revolves around due diligence compliance, review of sales price history, and lease terms.
