Jordan Thomas Wada

Jordan Wada was staffed to my diverse employment matters in Spring 2020. Because it was the head of his firm that I technically hired I didn't realize that while brilliant at administrative labor less, he was less confident with ADAA for Title I, the titles for services to the public, and undue burde...n put on patient and provider with employer wrong doing. Ada Wong and Jordan could have talked through strategy with me in meeting my needs while Jordan got more experienced and confident in this area, but she did not. The firm also did not have a conversation to learn my disability impacts, catalysts, and how to meet my needs in that regard. -Pro's: Really fantastic about basic employment law. Kept the employer’s attorneys and heads in check in 2019 and 2020. -Cons: AKW Law would tell me to “preserve” my statute of limitations, then not consult with me on the routes and strategies to do that. Also AKW, and apparently a state practice, is to accept clients with meritorious matters who can prevail, but the firm knows 100% they will not file a complaint in court of any jurisdiction against that employer. But they won’t tell you. So the firm head let’s my case go because they “don’t have time for it.” Several conversations with Jordan ended with him saying he needed to first consider with the firm’s head and i would not hear back. I think transparency would have resulted in everyone being confident and i wouldn’t have been deeply harmed by the next attorney when Ada said they were too busy. When the firm wasn’t allowing Jordan to assist me again, it was offering consults from the firm’s head, and then telling my peers Jordan would actually be assigned to them when they were to accept an agreement. It wasn’t that they distrusted Jordan, it was that the head of the firm was causing them to fear the head of the firm would also have them dropped at any time it suited the owner, without due care to the client. That is what happened to me.

Jordan is very knowledgeable when it comes to all things related to employment laws. I was specifically interested in knowing what my rights as an employee were when it comes to taking a leave of absence, maternity leave, and non-compete laws. I had no idea about new laws that have recently come into... effect and he shared those with me - things that most people are unaware of. He is sharp and I'm thankful for how he made me feel. He has a passion to help others and didn't stop until I clearly and confidently understood everything. He even took the time to email me useful links related to questions I had and always recapped what we had discussed. He is also quick to reply and makes me feel important. Highly recommending Jordan for any legal questions or issues you're facing regarding employment.
