Advocacy powered by understanding the system.

I am a paralegal working in Seattle, and our firm asked Jacob Menashe to assist us with an extremely complex state‑managed benefits matter for one of our clients. Jacob and his paralegal, Linda , were nothing short of exceptional. Jacob is, without question, the most knowledgeable attorney in Washin...gton when it comes to the intricacies of benefits and trusts. We trust him and his team implicitly and would welcome the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Nursing Home/Medicaid

In the middle of the Covid pandemic, we needed to move my 97 year old mother from an Assisted Living to a Nursing Home for a higher level of medical care. To further complicate matters, Mom’s savings were running out, and we knew that we would need to file for Medicaid assistance in the upcoming mont...hs. We Googled Medicaid filing, and quickly realized that we would need legal assistance with this drastic change of living arrangements and financial situation. A friend familiar with our situation recommended Jacob Menashe, a lawyer expert in Elder Law. Mr. Menashe and his Paralegal Alissa Viertel met with us to assess Mom’s situation and potential eligibility, and to determine how to best move forward in filing for Medicaid. Mr. Menashe’s calm and pragmatic demeanor was extremely reassuring, and he was exceptionally knowledgeable regarding Nursing Home admission and the myriad rules governing Medicaid eligibility. In addition to legal counsel, we decided to engage Mr. Menashe and Ms. Viertel to handle the filing for Medicaid assistance, and it was one of the best financial investments we could have made. We provided the required documents and our expert legal team handled the entire Medicaid application process. We were in contact almost daily as the paperwork was completed and submitted to the WA State Medicaid agency. Thanks to the diligence and experience of Mr. Menashe and Ms. Viertel, the process went very smoothly and quickly. Mom’s Medicaid was approved, and she is now safely ensconced in a wonderful Nursing Home where she is receiving exceptional care. We are extremely grateful to Mr. Menashe and Ms. Viertel for their legal expertise, their diligence, and perhaps most importantly, their compassion and kindness. We highly recommend Mr. Menashe and his team for your legal needs.

Best Choice

Empathetic, knowledgeable, concise and comprehensive are words I would use in describing Jacob Menache. The meeting regarding our father's estate is NOT something we looked forward to. However, Jacob helped us identify key issues and strategies for moving forward, with dad's best interests in mind.... Multiple family members were in attendance, and each had their own questions. In addition, each had their own piece of the puzzle as to the details necessary to accomplish a full story regarding dad's medical status and needs, his estate and his wishes. Jacob managed to balance a conversation that could have strayed. He kept things well-directed and rolling forward. I'm quite grateful to have found such a gem in a sea full of wildly diverse attorneys!
