Former client
Jeffrey Barth promised me that my ex husband would pay my legal fees. He lied!!!! I ended up paying my own attorney costs to fight my ex over custody of our children. barth is a liar and a horrible attorney.

Replied last October 20, 2020I have practiced law for over 40 years. I have never promised a client that the other party would pay their fees. In most cases each party is responsible for his/her own attorney fees. In some cases (mostly dissolution) where one party works and the other party is not employed, or when one spouse earns more money than the other spouse, the Court will award temporary fees or fees upon entry of a final order. I am not a liar. I am a good, honest attorney who works hard and gets good results for my clients. JLB
