Watching her during trial gave me an entirely different appreciation for just how good she is at her job. She was constantly taking notes and paying attention to every detail that could potentially matter. There were moments when so much was happening that I couldn’t catch all of it. Eleana did. Nothing seemed to escape her notice. Her questioning was thoughtful and purposeful. She knew when to push something, when to leave it alone, and when to completely change her approach. I watched her adjust her strategy on the spot based on testimony that had literally just come out. If I told her something wasn’t accurate, she could change direction at the drop of a hat without ever seeming unprepared. Watching it in real time was incredibly impressive! She also kept me informed throughout the entire process. During trial she updated me about what was happening, what she was noticing, and how we should proceed. I never felt like I was sitting in the dark while decisions about my life were being made around me. What stood out most was how hard she fought for me! I didn’t feel like her goal was simply to create reasonable doubt and call it a day. I felt like she wanted the jury to understand why I was innocent. There is a big difference, and sitting at that defense table, I could feel it. She challenged the prosecution’s case, caught inconsistencies and details that could easily have been missed, and made them work to prove their case. Going through a criminal trial is incredibly stressful and surreal. You are putting an enormous amount of trust in another person when the consequences can affect your entire life. Having Eleana sitting next to me made it infinitely less terrifying because I knew she was prepared, paying attention, and fighting for me. My case ultimately ended in a not guilty verdict, but my gratitude for Eleana goes far beyond the verdict itself. It is about how she treated me throughout the process and how hard she fought for me. I genuinely don’t know how I could have asked for a better person to have in my corner. If you are looking for an attorney who is intelligent, prepared, attentive, adaptable, hardworking, and genuinely willing to fight for her client, I cannot recommend Eleana enough. I trusted her with one of the most serious and stressful situations I have ever been through, and I would choose her again without hesitation.
