Dylana Lauren Elizabeth Louise Jones

Dylana, who was originally born and raised in California, has had a multifaceted journey leading it up to her legal career. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Interdisciplinary Studies from San Diego State University and holds a juris doctorate degree from Seattle University School of Law. Initially, Dylana envisioned a life in theater, singing, and acting where she spent her childhood and young adulthood performing in plays, musicals, and cabarets, in schools and local community theater programs. She was a member of the Sacramento Theater Company and even toured a Greek theology play throughout Greece when she was 15 years old. Through her many years of formal theater and acting training, her public speaking, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills were strongly developed at a young age, which all assist her in her courtroom presence on a daily basis.

Prior to law school she worked mainly in childcare where she honed her skills in patience, compassion, and adaptability. However, in her senior year of college, she participated in a pre-law program that sparked her interest in working in the legal field. She then interned at the Ranchod Law Group in Sacramento, CA which laid the foundation of her desire to pursue a legal career. In 2014, Dylana moved to Seattle, which was her first experience exploring the Pacific Northwest, and she quickly fell in love with the bustling city, the beauty of the mountain ranges surrounding the area, and the serenity of the Puget Sound.

During law school, she worked with the moderate means program, participated in the Comparative Family Law study abroad program in Madrid, Spain, and worked in the Immigration Law Clinic where she and her team represented clients involved in deportation proceedings. She was also a member of Phi Alpha Delta and was Co-President of the International Law Society. Dylana officially began working in the family law field in 2015 during her second year of law school as a Rule 9 intern and has continued to work exclusively in family law since that time. She grew up in a divorced home with her three siblings and has an acute understanding of the effects of divorce on children, which is the driving force behind her ability to fiercely advocate for and counsel her clients going through divorce and separation.

Outside of the courtroom, Dylana loves to travel, explore different cultures, and try different kinds of food. She has visited over 60 countries and four territories. She is an avid meditator and frequently participates in yoga retreats. She also enjoys reading, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends. Dylana is a Welsh name meaning ‘from the sea’ so it is only fitting that she was certified as a scuba diver at the age of 11, loves swimming, and feels the most content when she is near the ocean.
