My case was very unique. Interviewed 3 different lawyers and hired one. Then a trusted friend referred me to Colleen. Cost me some $$ to change lawyers but it was well worth it. Shes the only one who was very confident and confirmed from my side of the story that i was innocent. 2 weeks before try sh...e called me with a deal from the prosecuter i couldnt refuse. She didnt want to take the deal. She was that confident we would win. But after the hell and personal trauma i went through i couldnt handle the stress of anymore time away from my daughter. Under the circumstances it was ending i could life with. I have no regrets hiring her. In some ways i wish we would of went to trial to proove my innocence but there is no 100% guarantee. After my final hearing she hugged me good bye and i thanked her. I had been through hell. She said she would help in two years time when my probation was up to get my firearms back. Shes helped with some small legal issues since then with no charge. I myself would go with a women lawyer over a male. Ive learned the hard way. What a man says is questionable. What a women says is taken as the truth. Twice in my life I have a had a lawyer. My advice to anyone is hire the best lawyer you can find. Good attorneys are not cheap but they will make life easier. I rather pay out cash to a person that helped you than to the system that is broke. You are guilty till proven innocent. I hope i never have to hire her again to represent me again in a criminal case, but i will always her number and card just in case. She wasnt always timely in her returning my phone calls or emails but i could of possibly over stressing and in her defense she could of been fighting someone elses legal battle.
