Stacey was extremely accessible during and after business hours, which was comforting to me considering how stressful divorce can be. Stacey not only helped with my divorce, but years later she helped with secondary schooling for my 18 year old son. My spouse was going under the knife in two days when I contacted Stacey. She really pulled out the stops to get a durable power of attorney, health care proxy and last will and testament together for us both. I was referred to Stacy by a friend who used her in her divorce case, and who loved her w...ork. She's fast, reliable, and really good at what she does. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I was referred to this attorney by a friend and met with her at her office. Before even seeing her face, the receptionist made me sign something that Ms. Smythe later used against me to charge me for the privilege of sitting in her office evaluating whether or not she was right for my case. She filed... a Notice of Appearance w/out my consent (she then filed something to negate that filing and charged me for all of it) and later sent me ANOTHER CLIENTS DOCUMENTS accidentally which she apologized for. This is an unethical, unprofessional attorney and I filed a bar complaint against her unjust practices of requiring someone to agree to her fee before they even meet her. She has now taken that time she overcharged me for and is attempting to pursue me through a collection agency for an amount that has now been inflated further. Honestly, the family law bar needs to become more professional and stop these types of practices which are harmful to clients who are already in a difficult situation.

Right from the first meeting I knew Stacey Smythe would be my forever lawyer. I hired her when my ex husband was threatening to take my kids, and everything from me in our divorce. Not only did my ex back off when she caught him in lies. He was scared of her. She is honest about what it will take to get what you need completed. Prices only went up for me when I had complications unforeseen due to the other parties actions. Stacey even helped give her professional opinion to my sister in another state, and suggestions as to what she should do in her case. Might I add, on her personal time. I am so grateful for her advise. My sister said it helped her make some very important decisions. Word of mouth goes a long way for me. Stacey was highly recommended to me 8 years ago, and it has been a pleasure working with her. I am proud to have Stacey Smythe continue to represent my family, my friends, my clients.
