I was born in Seattle, and grew up in Edmonds, Washington. After graduating from Meadowdale High School in 1979, I attended the University of Washington where I was a proud member of the Husky Marching Band. I graduated with a degree in English in 1983, and then attended law school at the University of Puget Sound (now known as Seattle University). I received my law degree in 1986, and began working for a small general practice law firm in Edmonds later that year. I was in private practice until 1998, when I went to work as the Staff Attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee in Seattle. I remained the Senior Staff Attorney with the Chapter 13 Trustee's office until September, 2009, when I returned to private practice in Edmonds. My law practice focuses solely on the representation of debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and I am proud to be able to assist my clients in overcoming their financial obstacles.

An extremely competent and compassionate advocate!
Kim is caring and responsive -- two very important factors needed for great advocacy. Her knowledge of the law and the ins and outs of the procedure have been very helpful for our case. The knowledge she gleaned from the time she spent working at the Trustee's office has been very beneficial to us....

"If you are looking for a bankruptcy attorney, especially for a chapter 13 bankruptcy, you need look no further. Having worked for over 10 years as the Senior Staff Attorney for the Chapter 13 Trustee's Office, she is exceptionally qualified to handle chapter 13 cases. She equally handles chapter 7 bankruptcies with aplomb."
"I endorse this lawyer. Why? I have come to know Kimberly through many years of bankruptcy practice. I have filed myself over 5,540 cases since 1987 and came to know Kimberly through her work at the chapter 13 Trustee's office and appreciated her candor and knowledge of the law. You will be in fine hands with her advice! When employing an attorney a person should want to employ one with long term knowledge, experience, and great advice: Kimberly has those so have no doubt in employing her. Sincerely, Richard D. Granvold Esq."
"Kim is a hard worker and does a good job for all her clients. Would recommend her without reservation."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Kim for over 25 years and she is one of the most talented and dedicated lawyers in the greater Seattle area. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a superb bankruptcy lawyer."
