This attorney lost my case file. Bar did not care, of course, as he was the former head of it. Stay away if you care about competent representation. That said, the entire profession is so unbelievably incompetent that sometimes having an incompetent attorney is not unhelpful. Leland is well con...nected with the corrupt cronies, well done you get your one star.

I retained Mr. Ripley with an IOLTA audit that arisen. He was understanding of my situation, clearly had a strong background in these issues and knew what he was talking about. He was very good with communication, usually responding within an hour or less to any questions I had. The end result was... much better than what I had been warned about and expecting. I read the other review posted about Lee, and I can say after practicing law for 17 years, it's frustrating when a client agrees to something, later has "buyer's remorse" about their decision (usually after talking to friends who have no idea what they're talking about), and blames it on their attorney for brokering the deal that they agreed to. This has been a very stressful and embarrassing chapter in my life, and I'm grateful that Lee's experience and skills made it much better than what I may have been facing.

I had two knee surgeries, was the victim of domestic violence which left me with destroyed computers and a multiple broken ribs and Lee did not present any evidence of these mitigating factors before coercing me to enter an agreement with the bar associated that resulted in my suspension. No client... had complained, I simply messed up a few deposits unwittingly. He charged me over 4,000 to ask for a continuance when my father was on his death bed. I question the authenticity of the hours he worked because the resulting work product was nonexistent. I would have been better off representing myself and after discussing the matter more thoroughly with other attorneys, I feel leaving this review is important and I definitely hope that if you are faced with obstructionist allegations from the bar association that you seek more competent counsel.
