Xavier strives to advocate for his clients using a client-focused approach that gets result. After graduating from Harvard Law School Xavier accepted a position working for a large, white-shoe law firm in New York City. While the work he did there was interesting and complex, he ultimately felt himself drawn towards the kind of practice that involves issues that every day people in his community were facing. 

Deciding to combine a big career and lifestyle change, Xavier relocated from New York City to Bend, Oregon, and began working as a public defender while taking on family law cases. Taking on hundreds of cases as a public defender gave him the experience and confidence in the courtroom that is crucial for effective advocacy, while allowing him the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by highly skilled and accomplished trial attorneys. In 2021 he switched to private practice in order to be able to devote all of his time and attention to the needs of his retained clients. 

Xavier firmly believes that each case is different and requires a personalized approach. He strives to balance compassionate guidance with strong, effective advocacy in an approach that gets his clients results. In 2022 the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys recognized him as a "Top 10 Under 40" attorney in the state of Oregon.  

When he's not advocating for his clients in the courtroom Xavier enjoys backcountry skiing, climbing, trail running & spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Dixie and Otis.
