This lawyer will cheat and lie to get your money!! He not only over charges you for services, but leaves you feeling like unless you KEEP giving him large sums of money you will lose your case. In my case, my son. There were threats made and lots of hounding from Mr. Seidel, that led us to believe we... would lose the custody case with my ex and lose my son, if we couldn't come up with more money. Over a period of 3 months we were charged almost $8.000.000!!!! How is that even possible. That was just for a status quo order. A status qou order is to determine what parent the child should be with until the hearing. In my case it was easy, I have had sole custody since my child was 1yr old. So, for 7yrs. total at the time..... DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN. Unethical, immoral, and down right dirty!!!! FRAUD is another way of putting it. After talking about my case with two other attorneys, they both agreed that I had been overcharged. GREATLY! We then fired Mr. Seidel and went with another attorney. I hope this helps!!

We retained this attorney in a child custody dispute. The original fee quoted was $2,500; however, after charges for every phone call, photocopy, etc., and then court time, it ended up a total fee of $10,000 and the case was never settled. When I inquired about re-opening so we could get a final re...solution to this case, I can't even get a return phone call. Two other attorneys confirmed that we were greatly overcharged.

Mr. Seidel was my attorney for my divorce and contested Restraining Order. I was an abused woman with three children who obtained a Restraining Order against my husband. Oregon was my state of jurisdiction but I was not from there and had no family there. I met with Mr. Seidel explained my complex si...tuation and retained him. There were many issues that arose during this process for me due to my concern for my children and the continued harassment by my ex. Mr. Seidel and his understanding staff helped me immensely even though they themselves were being harassed and threatened by my ex. From start to finish my divorce took only 8 months. Thanks to Mr. Seidel's legal knowledge, I won every hearing we had. The Judge saw my ex as the abusive, scary person he was and thus severely limited his visitation for the children's protection and made provision for mine as well. In the end, I was awarded everything I asked for in the divorce. I truly feel my outcome would not have been as favorable if I'd had another attorney. Mr. Seidel fought for me and my children and he was on my side with my best interest in mind. I have unfortunately, gone trough the divorce process before and didn't have the same experience. I was in awe the first time I met with Mr. Seidel. Right away, I knew I was talking to a brilliant person. He knew the law inside and out! But what impressed me most was that he asked me what I wanted out of the divorce. He then proceeded to council me toward that goal never waivering or compromising my interests during the entire divorce process. If anyone is in need of an attorney; he's the one you want in your corner!

If you need to hire a lawyer, you are obviously in deep sh** and this man will help you out of it!! Do NOT waste your time explaining your case to some fresh-out-of-law-school, under-educated attorney with little "life experience" in court, who will likely charge you just as much as MIke (or more) on...ly to lose your case in the end!! I have had previous experiences with legal assistance in the past, always lacking that comfortable feeling of safety, security, and protection I felt when we walked into the courtroom together. The person who referred me to Mr. Seidel shared with me his passion for justice when it comes to family law cases, he doesn't just do this for the money, he does it because he was born to do this! Mike's passion for learning the law is endless, he is relentless when it comes to fighting for you, he will remain calm, fair, and polite, as he asserts himself in a fashion that is unmatched by his opponents. I enjoyed observing his strategies, and thoughtful actions, as we worked through my case. I never stopped to ask myself if he was truly working as hard as humanly-possible to win my case. It was obvious from the initial consultation (discounted by the way) that I had found the perfect attorney to help me prove the truth, and convey my side of the story appropriately. I will forever be grateful for his dedication, and desire to think "outside the box". Mike is clever, diligent, and as sharp as they come.
