After loaning a friend $1500 to retain an attorney, he didn't lift a finger to help. He took the money and told my friend to take a plea and then quit as his lawyer when they disagreed. He then asked for a public defender and was lucky enough to get Laurie. She didn't take the police report at face v...alue and hang my friend out to dry. She challenged the validity of the charges the blatant lies in the police report and made a motion to suppress evidence that was obtained illegally and ultimately kept my friend out of prison. Wow. No back room deals or hand shakes with the DA Over tee time. This woman works hard to uncover the truth. My hat is off to her, especially in such a corrupt good ol boy town. This is a woman with integrity. I hope I don't ever need her, but its good to know she's here
