Robert (Bob) Good approaches the practice of law from a results-focused point of view, with his philosophy being “resolution over litigation.” He strives to create the best possible outcome for his clients and will litigate fiercely when necessary to get his clients their best result but never for the sake of simply driving up attorney fees. He is a passionate advocate and works very hard to educate and empower his clients in whatever legal matter they face. Clients frequently say that what they like about Bob is how clear he is about the direction he will pursue for them in their case.
Bob has been practicing law for 20 years, serving the people of Ashland and the Rogue Valley. Originally from Pennsylvania, Bob graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia and taught high school for eight years before entering the legal profession. In 1992 Bob graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington and began practicing law in Ashland with the Howser & Munsell Law Firm. For the last 10 years Bob has been a solo practitioner, with a focus on family law litigation and mediation, estate planning and administration, and contracts.
Bob is also active in the community, having served on the board of directors of Family Solutions (formerly Southern Oregon Child Study and Treatment Center) for 10 years (1995-2005) and has been an active Ashland Rotary Club member since 2000. He currently serves as a director of the Ashland Rotary Community Support Foundation. Bob coached the Ashland High School Mock trial team for more than 10 years, coached youth sports and has volunteered in a variety of ways in the community. He has two adult children in college.

Family law disputes do not always have to be solved through combative courtroom litigation. For individuals seeking a more peaceful process of resolving their legal issue, mediation can be an attractive and workable option. Robert Good offers mediation services to clients looking for such an alternative. Legal issues such as divorce, child support, spousal support or parenting time conflicts can all be effectively handled in a mediation setting, with Robert Good as your mediator.
