Helped me through a dark time

In 2012 I was arrested for something I didn't do. I made collect calls to several lawyers from jail. I had no money, no ID, and no idea how I was going to defend myself in court. Mr. Jagger was the only lawyer to respond to my calls and he met me at the jail the very next day. He arranged for my ...release and stayed in touch while I waited for a trial date. He was very patient with me when I called his office with questions several times a day, believed in me, and helped me get through the mess I was in. I appreciated his kindness as well as the fact he was never judgmental in his dealings with me.

I wouldn't recommend jagger to my worst enemy

Jagger is a terrible lawyer! He makes excuses for every thing. I had an appointment with him once and when I arrived I called him and he had forgot about the appointment and I waited for three hours for him to arrive and tell me that he didn't have any of the paperwork for me and he had to leave afte...r only a couple minutes of talking. He is very unprofessional. I would have had better luck hiring and bum on a corner then james jagger.

Most professional/knowledgable experienced attorney in Lane County, OR

Jim Jagger first represented my husband and I in a change in custody case which we won. He was very personable and cared most for our childs best interest (the way it should be) over the last 23 years I have hired Jim for various situations including personal and business. This man is proven to b...e the best attorney in Lane county as far as I am concerned. He has never lost a case of mine or anyone Ive ever referred to him. I give this man an A+ for effort, experience and victories in every case. It is not too often someone can honestly state that their attorney has not ever lost a case that they personally are aware of. I wont go to anyone else ever!

I owe many thanks to James Jagger!

Hiring Mr. Jagger was the best decision I could have made regarding my husband's probation violation. He exceeded all my expectations and garnered a better result than I expected. He's very knowledgeable and is a good negotiator. Also, take reviews in stride. You know that mostly angry people like to... write them to let out their frustrations the only way they know how. And remember, not everyone who wins their case because of him will write a review. His office could communicate better but when it comes down to it- all you really want is someone in the courtroom who's going to fight for you and Mr Jagger will do just that!

inadequate representation

Mr. Jagger and his office were not forthright about his suspension from practicing law. I tried on several occasions, after paying a retainer to Mr. Jagger, to make appointments to handle my legal matters and was given excuse after excuse as to why I would not be able to see Mr. Jagger. Finally, wh...en the news was about to release a story, his receptionist came clean about his suspension and referred me to another attorney. While waiting to even get an appt. with Mr. Jagger, I'd managed to do most of the legwork myself and the other attorney even said as much when he met me on my court date to represent me- he never billed me as a result. However, when Mr. Jagger was able to begin practicing law again, he immediately billed me for hours he never worked for me and an issue in my case that ended up not being resolved as a result of his dishonesty by taking my $$ and not doing any casework on my behalf.
