Cyndee C Haines

It has been about a decade since I needed Ms. Haines's services for a split I had with my girlfriend and putting in place a proper customer agreement. Ms. Haines can be a little off putting and detached -- so I could see how her personality may rub some people the wrong way. However, getting someone ...who knew her stuff and got to the point was what I was most interested in and she certainly delivered. She made herself available to me and was very professional. The great part about Ms. Haines, in addition to her being very knowledgeable, is that she is focused and determined and puts that on your side. At one point I needed to sign the paperwork that had been drafted. She and I had discussed making some changes to a draft that I had shown my ex. Ms. Haines made the modifications and my ex and I came in together to sign. I was walked through the final paperwork with an assistant so that Ms. Haines could attend to my ex. She explained the paperwork thoroughly to her (as I was told), including the small changes. Thankfully, I didn't have to have any part of it. I let her handle the situation and she convinced my ex it was in her best interest to sign the modified documents and I walked out with a very fair agreement in place. (Granted, I did have to deal with my ex afterwards in the car, but the important thing was that my protections were now in place in regards to my children and I was out of the line of fire for that one). If I needed divorce/separation assistance again, I would absolutely see if Ms. Haines was available.

My case was a stipulated dissolution. Cyndee Haines handled my divorce papers. I trusted that the paperwork she submitted to the court to sign was all correct according to our stipulation. It turns out, however, the spousal support part was so poorly written that it was (1) confusing and (2) inconsis...tent at the two places where it was mentioned. I tried to contact her to have it corrected, but she simply wrote a letter and said she was no longer my attorney. I talked to another lawyer about the judgment Ms. Haines submitted, and that lawyer said this is malpractice. Unfortunately, statute of limitations had run, so I couldn't really sue her. This is an attorney full of herself and does not really care about her clients, although she says she does. I will not recommend her to anyone.
