Several attorneys I am familiar with recommended that I engage Thomas Hill to defend me against a criminal trespass charge. In the following weeks he successfully persuaded the DA's office to downgrade the matter to a violation and then at trial presented the case very well. His pretrial motions, opening statement, cross exam of the witnesses and closing argument were very well presented. He was able to demonstrate quite clearly the lack of credibility of the sole eyewitness for the prosecution and that person's ulterior motives. His direct examination of me was skillful. It allowed the judge to truly understand the facts and the reasonableness of my defense that I did not trespass. A just verdict of "not guilty" was the outcome. Thomas is very experienced in criminal law matters. I've worked as a corporate executive for many years with a variety of lawyers, but never on a criminal law matter so in that regard it was a new experience for me. Thomas was very effective in handling my defense. His fees were very reasonable. I would definitely engage him again to defend me if ever there were to be a need again to defend against a criminal charge. The judge expunged the case from the record after the trial as a result of a motion Thomas submitted on my behalf.
