Poor performance by the attorney

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a law firm. I would not hire The Kind Law Group again. I hired this firm to handle two relatively straightforward Oregon traffic cases — one involving a seat-belt citation and another involving speeding. I paid approximately $500 for each case. ...I provided the firm with extensive information, explanations, documents, photographs, and the arguments I believed supported my defense. I spent a significant amount of my own time gathering evidence, explaining the circumstances, sending follow-up emails, and trying to make sure everything important was actually considered. Neither case was successfully resolved in my favor. What disappointed me most was not simply the fact that the cases were lost. No attorney can guarantee a result. My problem was the amount of money I paid compared with the service, communication, and amount of work I personally had to do throughout the process. One example says a lot about my experience. After one case was completed, I received an email from the firm stating that the court had imposed a $265 fine. However, when I personally went to the official Oregon Judicial Department ePay system and entered my case number, the court showed an actual current balance of only $65. I then had to contact the attorneys again just to ask why they had told me $265 and whether I was supposed to pay an additional $200. I should not have to independently verify basic information like the amount of my court fine after paying a law firm to handle the case. For comparison, I previously used another attorney in Washington for two similar traffic matters. I paid approximately $250, spent almost no time communicating with the attorney, and both matters were successfully handled. With The Kind Law Group, I paid roughly $500 per case and still spent a considerable amount of my own time providing information, following up, asking questions, and checking court information myself. I understand that every case is different and no lawyer can promise a dismissal. However, based strictly on my personal experience, I received extremely poor value for the money I paid. I would not recommend The Kind Law Group for traffic-ticket representation, and I would not use this firm again. If you are considering hiring them, I strongly recommend comparing other traffic attorneys, asking exactly what work will be performed, what evidence will be reviewed, how communication will be handled, and what the total cost will be before paying. For me, this was money and time I deeply regret spending.

Avoid!!!

Avoid this lawyer! Edgar Diaz has a proven knack for losing cases—even when you're innocent and have video evidence. His team constantly changes, with new people repeatedly contacting you to ask for documents you've already sent multiple times. Ultimately, he will lose 90% of your case. After that, h...e has the audacity to offer you an appeal for the same high fee. A quick look at all his reviews shows he loses those appeals too! With that track record, you might as well throw his fee into a slot machine or buy a lottery ticket—you'd have better odds. But best of all, spend that money on your loved ones; that's a guaranteed win. Good luck and victories to all who read this!

Not Prepared, Evidence Ignored, Very Poor Communication

I hired Mr. Edgar Diaz to represent me in a traffic case and later an appeal. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and costly. From the beginning, my case was handled without any meaningful evidence development. I was never asked to provide photos, documentation, or supporting mater...ials, even though the case involved an accident and physical damage that directly contradicted the allegation. I proactively sent photos, but they were never incorporated into any written filing or preserved argument. Communication was a major issue. I was not notified in advance of the appeal hearing, was not consulted on strategy, and did not receive a clear explanation of what happened in court afterward. I had to independently contact the court myself to confirm the outcome of my appeal. The appeal was argued almost entirely orally, with no substantive written argument preserved addressing the core factual contradictions in the case. When I later asked for records and clarification, I was repeatedly pushed to discuss matters by phone instead of receiving clear written explanations. In the end, I paid attorney fees, appeal fees, and the full court fine, with no meaningful advocacy reflected in the record. When I raised concerns about representation quality and requested a partial refund, it was flatly refused. This review is not about losing a case — it’s about lack of preparation, lack of evidence use, and lack of communication. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully consider their options before hiring this attorney, especially if your case depends on factual evidence and detailed advocacy.
