I actually hired the senior partner of the firm, who is my age, and has over 40 years of legal experience. Circumstances arose and he personally selected his newest attorney, John Knodell, to represent me. Mr. Knodell quickly revealed himself to be a highly intelligent, and very skilled attorney. ... A huge benefit was his past experience in a D.A. 's office because he understood how they evaluate different issues, and he was effective at communicating with them. As a result, he developed great solutions to several issues, the D.A. agreed, and all were in my favor. My family and friends were all thrilled at attorney Knodell’s skill and hard work. I walked in with huge fears of jail time, fines, and a long probation. I walked out with the case being discharged: No jail time, no fines, and no probation. He also reached a fair and equitable solution on a separate aspect of my case with an opposing attorney who was very experienced in that specific legal area. Everything was settled without the burden of unpredictable bench trials and the resultant testimony of witnesses, experts, etc. So, would I hire John Knodell again? A resounding “YES” and I’d fully recommend him, which is one of the reasons I gave him a solid 5 star rating. As a side note, I know that I wasn’t easy to work with but he has a phenomenal ability to be calm and explain things in a way that was clear and rational and made sense to me. He was always very quick to respond to my questions with an immediate and informed phone call, or by email or text if he couldn’t call. So, in line with his own great reputation, Attorney Paul Ferder obviously knew that he was making an excellent choice when he hired attorney John Knodell from a very large pool of choices.
