Mark Ditton

I met with Mark for about 30 minutes about 4 months ago and had been convinced that his suggestion for Chapter 13 was the way for me to go. However I decided to consult with another attorney with chapter 7 success. It was unfortunate, but Mark stated that he likes chapter 13 the best, and then made a... side comment that it also pays him more. He states that because of my unique situation he did not believe I'd have chapter 7 easily done. And that he would not want to engage in that endeavor because he was not really sure of how it would work. I have now easily had chapter 7 completed with another lawyer. I'm so thankful I keep looking, otherwise I'd be stuck in a 5 year plan for no reason and with higher cost to me. I would say, unless you know you need chapter 13 do not consult with him. He seemed very knowledgeable about 13, but unwilling to work for me (the potential client) and my needs. I do not like to write unsavory reviews, but bankruptcy is very important, and each person's case is unique and requires a desire to understand them and to work with their needs. Or at least state they are not qualified to meet your needs, not to convince you that their way is the only way. I write this because bankruptcy is not something to take lightly or even decide on in 30 minutes. And today I look back and am thankful I picked up the phone one more time to have a consultation with my current lawyer.
