Very unprofessional. Made a traumatic experience even more traumatic.

This just happened so I'm still in shock. Had an appointment at 4:00 for a consultation. Made the appointment 2 weeks ago. Waited by my phone for the call. Finally at 4:08 I noticed a voicemail was being left. My phone thought the unknown number was spam and didn't ring. I saw the transcription sayin...g to call her back and she was "still available for a little bit longer" and if she wasn't available by the time I called we might need to reschedule for next week. I called immediately, literally the same minute her call came in. That's when things took a weird turn. The assistant answered, I told her briefly what happened, she put me on hold, then a few seconds later told me Laura was unavailable for the rest of the day and that we could try to reschedule but it would be hard since Laura is "really slammed" so it might be a while. At first I was speechless, I wondered if maybe she misunderstood. I reiterated that Laura had JUST called and left a message literally 1 minute ago telling me to call and she was still available. I was given the same answer telling me she was not available. I said I didn't understand how that was possible. I had made an appointment for that slot of time, Laura had called me late but told me she was still available, and now 1 minute later (the length of us talking on the phone) she wasn't available now or for the foreseeable future? I got a lot of "ums" and overlapping excuses that seemed completely made up on the spot, plus some stretches of complete silence, but the overall answer was that was correct. Despite her calling 1 minute ago, 8 minutes later than our scheduled appointment, and instructing me to call back and saying flat out she was still available, I was being turned away. I also have no idea how things changed from her saying if she was unavailable we'd reschedule for next week, to her schedule suddenly being completely full since she was "really slammed" and who knows when I'd be able to get another appointment. I even asked if this was just some way to tell me she didn't want to take me on as a client (no idea why since we'd literally never talked) but the assistant gave me a big "No no no, it's not you," kind of excuse then offered to give me the names of other attorneys. This is already a traumatic experience, going through the experience of filing for bankruptcy. This experience has made it even more traumatic. It also wasted 2 weeks of my time that I could have spent looking for a lawyer that might actually keep the appointment and do the job. So incredibly unprofessional.

Hi Shannon, I believe we were able to clear this up and resolve any concerns during our phone call later that same evening. We're happy to help whenever you're ready to move forward. If you have any remaining questions or concerns, please call my office and schedule a phone appointment so we can both set aside time to talk and resolve any lingering concerns :) Sincerely, Laura Zaro

I Can't Say Enough About Laura!

Generally speaking, I'm not a big fan of attorneys mostly because we don't speak the same language. Laura communicates through results and outcomes in a way that you can understand. She explains herself very clearly and there is an understanding of the bankruptcy process and how it will look for you ...and your situation. Every financial situation is different and Laura is unbiased within her work. I'm very greatful for finding Laura as her expert knowledge of the bankruptcy process is unparalleled. She makes time for you and holds space for you. Give her a call.

100% Recommend!!!

I was so nervous to start the bankruptcy process and I put it off as long as I possibly could.... but finding Laura Zaro was the best thing that could have happened! I told her my story, she didn't judge, she didn't shame, she completed my case with ease and made me feel like this isn't the end of m...y world! She was so incredible to work with and made this process painless and as easy as possible! I would recommend Laura to anyone needing this assistance!

Laura is the best!

I spent months trying to decide if i should file for bankruptcy. I cold called a few lawyers with questions. After nearly giving up on finding a good fit for me, I called Olsen Daines and spoke with Laura. Laura was completely honest from day one, and she was so thorough in walking me through the pro...cess. Her staff is incredibly easy to work with, and they are so detailed to make sure you have everything complete, correct, and ready to go. I can honestly say that what seemed to be the hardest choice of my life turned out to be the easiest, worry free process. You could read the reviews of every lawyer in Oregon, but save yourself some time and just call for your free consultation. After meeting with Laura, you’ll know there’s no one better to represent you.
