Poor communication, no follow-up and very unprofessional behavior

We hired Kevin in 2022 to handle a situation with our neighbor. Kevin did not do what we had hired him to do and subsequently the issue we had with our neighbor got worse and worse. Eventually our neighbor deliberately damaged our property. We contacted Kevin after that happened, and he told us we h...ad no case and then ghosted us. We hired another attorney and wound up getting a sizeable settlement with the neighbor and eventually Kevin gave us our money back that we had paid him.

Slow, unresponsive, unprofessional

Hired Kevin (Community Association Law) to resolve an easement and obtain development permits. He appeared interested and knowledgeable at first, and then the delays started. First it was a three week vacation- which he failed to disclose upon asking if he could start right away. Upon return, little... happened as he was busy. I was then told by his legal admin I would have to pay city of Portland to start development (this was not what we needed to start out with, nor was it correct.). 3 months later he got some easement copies from the city (which I realized I could have done). Next steps to file letters to utilities and neighbors never materialized after another few months, many emails, delays, illness, etc. Kevin also doesn't bother spitting out his chewing tobacco when he meets with you. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY (I spent $1700) and have little to show.

HOA Assistance

Kevin is the best HOA atty. in the Portland area. He is knowledgeable, more than willing to assist with any issue and his fees are reasonable. Yeah Kevin!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
